MC Lyte talks to LARS students
MC Lyte and Others Make Guest Appearances
Music industry pros MC Lyte and Kevin Guarnieri stopped by the LA Recording School to offer insight to students.
MC Lyte
Musician/Actor MC Lyte joined LARS students in a Q&A session to share insight on her experience in the entertainment industry.
Lyte, who has appeared on a number of television shows and in several films, is the first ever female rapper to receive a gold single. Her smash hit “Ruffneck” was nominated for a GRAMMY.
In her music career, Lyte has released 10 albums and also has her own record label.

Dave Audé
Veteran producer and Grammy Nominee, Dave Audé spoke to LARS students about his industry success. Audé, who is responsible for over 40 number one Billboard tracks, was a former LARS instructor.
Since then, Audé has served as Music Director for the Pussycat Dolls, and has worked with artists such as U2, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Janet Jackson, Diddy, Gorillaz, Kelly Clarkson, Madonna and more.
Kevin Guarnieri
Accomplished Recording Engineer Kevin Guarnieri came by LARS to talk to students about his experience in the world of sound.
Over the past decade, Kevin Guarnieri has served as Recording Engineer on a multitude of platinum-selling, Grammy-winning recordings for a most impressive array of superstar artists, including: Mariah Carey, Mick Jagger, Marilyn Manson, Alanis Morissette, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, Whitney Houston, Michael Bublé and Missy Elliot.
Since beginning his career as a runner at Westlake Audio in 1997, Guarnieri has risen to the top of the field, working exclusively with American Idol’s Randy Jackson, and adding his expertise in recording, editing and mixing audio for records, film and television.
