Graduates at the GRAMMYS

Four talented Los Angeles Recording School graduates were involved with music that was nominated during the 50th annual 2008 GRAMMY® Awards.

Graduate, Ari Levine, worked as an Assistant Engineer on Jay-Z’s Kingdom Come, which was nominated for Best Rap Album of the Year. Graduate Ruben Rivera, worked as an Engineer on Fantasia’s solo album that was nominated as Best Contemporary R&B Album of the Year. Paul Pavao, who graduated in 2003, was an Assistant Engineer on Chris Daughtry’s album titled Daughtry which was nominated for Best Rock Album of the Year. And graduate Jorge Vivograduate served as Digital Engineer for Michael Buble’s Call Me Irresponsible which was nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

LA Recording School Director of Education, Steve Miller believes that these recent graduates will have company to follow them at future award ceremonies. “These former students have a lot to be proud of. They have come a long way in a short amount of time,” Miller said. “I am confident that each of them will continue to achieve great things and that our school will continue to put out talent of this caliber.”
