Alignment Lab

You might not still have a tape deck in your car, but that doesn’t mean there is no use for recording tape anymore. In the recording industry it’s important to know how to work with tape because not every recording studio is completely digital.

The Analog Tape Alignment lab features an Otari MTR-90 24-track 2" tape recorder as well as 2 Otari MTR-12 1/2" tape machines, which students use to practice the art of analog tape machine calibration and tape splicing and editing.
